Eighty-Eight players enjoyed a wonderful weekend of Championship Golf at Modry Las Golf Resort played in generally good weather conditions, but it was the Junior’s that took centre stage over the two-day championship.

 

The Championship had over PLN 10,000 of vouchers across three categories on offer for the winners including Membership for the 2021 in the Open Category.

 

The first day was played in wonderful sunshine and the Men’s Strokeplay lead was shared by juniors Tristan Kolasinski and Franciszek Dudek each playing gross 76 with Mateusz Lorych three behind on 79 shots.

 

The Ladies Strokeplay lead was also shared after the first round with Ilona Piekos and Erwina Kolasinska shooting 84 respectively.

 

The second day brought early morning rain as the leading groups teed off, but quickly cleared leaving superb playing conditions for the golfers into the afternoon.

 

A superb finale round of 75 from Tristan Kolasinski added to his first day 76 and total 151 was enough to win the Club Championship by 5 shorts, also securing the Junior Club Champion title. Second place was taken by fellow junior Franciszek Dudek on 156 and third place Mateusz Lorych with a total of 163.

 

Ilona Piekos matched her first round 84 with a second round 84 and total 168 to take victory by six shots from Erwina Kolasinska with Wieslawa Sobczak in third place.

 

The Open Category was won by Mateusz Lorych as the highest ranked none-member who received the offer of Modry Las Golf Resort Membership in 2021.

 

In conjunction with the Modry Las Club Championship the event also had the support of Champ International Tour who offered various Green Fees to clubs across Poland for the first three players of the Strokeplay and Stableford tournaments.

 

Over thirty players walked away with prizes from the event and a provided a fitting end to the season.
